Elizabeth Ann Collins Godwin Satterfield, age 86, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her home. Elizabeth was born February 10, 1932 in Franklin, Arkansas to Taft Cecil Collins and Lillie Jane Carpenter Collins.

Elizabeth retired, after 28 years, from the United States Postal Service where she was a clerk.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Leon Godwin; her parents; two sons, Gary Godwin and Stacy Lee Godwin; one daughter, Cecile Burks; one sister, Ruby Jo Nelson; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, J.L. Satterfield of Daingerfield, Texas; three daughters and one son-in-law, Karin and Milton Dailey of Texarkana, Texas, Connye Didway of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Tracey Harper of Hughes Springs, Texas; one son, Tim Godwin of Omaha, Texas; four stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Jerry and Paula Satterfield of Daingerfield, Texas, James and Shelly Satterfield of Naples, Texas, Jon and Sharon Satterfield of Daingerfield, Texas, and Jeffery Satterfield of Laredo, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Bo and Era'Lou Collins of Omaha, Texas; one sister, Fay Roach of Phoenix, Arizona; sixteen grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Omaha Cemetery with Bro. Edwin Brockway officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
