Obituary

Eric Brandon Dickey, age 52, of Sherman, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his home. Eric was born on January 26, 1974, in Denison, Texas.

Eric was a member of Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman and a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He had a passion for drag racing (Mopar or No car), working on cars, traveling, and listening to all music. Eric expressed his emotions through music. Most of all, Eric loved spending time with his family and planning his weekly date night with his wife. Eric had a very tender heart. He would tell all the people that he cared for that he loved them. It didn't matter if those friends were men, he always wanted the people he cared for to know how much they meant to him. Eric had an undeniable sense of humor. He found joy in making people laugh. He was a true blessing to everyone that knew him.

Eric was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, JB and Katie Dickey; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Florence Dickey; maternal grandparents, Harold and Faye Stafford; and his father-in-law, Roger Kingston.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Dickey of Sherman; his parents, Greg and Pam Dickey of Pottsboro; mother-in-law, Bonnie Kingston of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Jessa and Joey Ward of Corsicana; two sons, Jackson Dickey and Jami Dickey of Corsicana; one step-daughter, Jesse Kingston of Longview; one sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Mike Anderson of Farmersville; one brother, Cody Dickey of Corsicana; one grandchild, Cooper Ward; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.

This service will be a Celebration of Eric's life. Please bring a written memory to share with us. We will place all the memories in a memory box that his children can keep forever. Show is humor, his heart, his dedication and however he touched your life with us. We understand that there may be some travel involved, but honoring Eric's life is worth it.

If you choose to send flowers, please refrain from sending "funeral flowers." Plants or dish gardens etc.... will be items the family can enjoy. Eric shivered at the sight of funeral flowers.

Honorary Pallbearers include Andrew Dickey, Mike Anderson, Cody Clinton, Rick McCartney, BJ Swafford and Joey Ward.
