Erma Gean Clayton, age 87, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Erma Gean was born September 19, 1930 in Avinger, Texas to Marion Ball and Ladonia Hooton Ball.

Erma Gean was a member at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha. She retired from First National Bank of Hughes Springs in Omaha where she was head teller. Erma Gean devoted her life to taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her grandchildren.

Erma Gean was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Clayton in 2008; and her parents.

Surviving family members include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mike Reynolds of Cookville; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Donna Clayton of Omaha; one brother and sister-in-law, Ernest Wayne "Buzzy" and Mable Ball of Lone Star; four grandchildren, Adam Reynolds and wife Kayla, Marci Wilson and husband Cody, Shelby Clayton, and Rachel Clayton; three great-grandchildren, Maggie Wilson, Daniel Wilson, and Beau Reynolds; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
