Obituary

Ethna Claudine Culver, better known to many as Granny, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Ethna was born April 5, 1929, in Omaha, Texas, to Claude Thomas Edward Tucker and Thelma Leo Wright Tucker.

Ethna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Omaha.  She was a past Worthy Matron of the Omaha Order of the Eastern Star.  Ethna worked for many years at Endsley Grocery and she worked at the Naples Flower Mart and later Petal Pushers.  She enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Ethna was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Culver; her parents; one brother, Hubbard Joe Tucker; and one daughter-in-law, Donna Culver.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Mike Browning of Mt. Pleasant and Connie and Bryan Baldwin of Mt. Pleasant; one son, Johnnie Culver and Johnny Pluas of Orlando, Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Berl Munn of Omaha; one sister-in-law, Marcia Culver of Longview, Texas; six grandchildren, Jennifer Charlton and husband Alan, Jessica Hughes and husband Patrick, Micki Posey and husband Bud, Billi Thomas and husband Jimmy, Trevor Baldwin, and Georgette Vance and husband Colton; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Keith Lauter and Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Omaha Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
