Francy McDonald "Lucky" Young, age 64, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in a Pittsburg, Texas nursing home. Lucky was born October 2, 1951 in Longview, Texas.

Lucky was a United States Navy veteran and a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW Post 1890. She enjoyed spending time playing with her grandchildren and fishing.

Lucky was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Benny McDonald.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tiffany Young of Mt. Vernon, Texas; two stepdaughters and son-in-law, Mickey and Lan Freedman of Dallas, Texas and Gwin Bosco of Houston, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Evon McDonald of Omaha, Texas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lee and Wiley Motley of Omaha, Texas, Peggy and Tommy Tucker of Omaha, Texas, and Tonya and Patrice Tyner of Seattle, Washington; eight grandchildren, Creed Young, Monika Self, Harrison Freedman, Jack Freedman, Brennan Bosco, Mason Bosco, Keegan Bosco, and Darwyn Bosco; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Bois d'Arc Baptist Church in Lake Tawakoni, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans Affairs.
