Fred John Ochs, age 93, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Mt. Pleasant. Fred was born February 18, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Fred Ochs and Caroline Peters Ochs.

Fred was a United States Army Veteran, where he served from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of the 78 ^th Infantry Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from the High Plains Museum in Canyon, Texas, where he was a photographer.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Carol Ochs of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter and son-in-law, Heide and Roger Edmonson of Naples, Texas; one sister, Doris Lang of Missouri; three step-grandchildren, Melissa Wright, Marty Edmonson and wife CiCi, and Melodie Lawings and husband Troy; six great-grandchildren, Kody Wright, Tanner Wright, Brelee Lawings, Kade Lawings, Ashton Edmonson, and Ayden Edmonson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family would like to offer a special "Thank You" to Charity, Dale, Debbie, Janet, Paula, Bonnie, Tiffany, and all the other staff of Heritage Park Village for their wonderful care.
