Gene Sosbee, age 82, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Naples.  Gene was born January 14, 1939, in Bryans Mill, Texas, to Paul Clark Sosbee and Margreatte Carlisle "Pal" Sosbee.

Gene was a member of First Baptist Church in Naples.  He retired from Texas Utilities where he worked in the parts department.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army.  Gene was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the National Cutting Horse Association, and the Naples Rodeo Club.  He loved riding cutting horses and "ridin' rockin' chairs and working cows" after retirement.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; and a special friend, Patricia Marbut.

Survivors include one sister, Jo Ann Martin of Whitehouse, Texas; two nephews, Norris Martin of Waco, Texas and Roy Paul Martin of Whitehouse; special friends, Pete and Terri Brown of Naples and Kaylee and Cody Holloway of Cason, Texas, Alissa and Jake Davis of Wolfe City, Texas, Little John Marbut of New Boston, Texas, and Gayla Marbut Jordan of New Boston; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating.
