George David Tucker, age 76, of Wylie, Texas, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, at his home.  George was born September 15, 1943 in Bryans Mill, Texas to George W. Tucker and Allie Lee Goodwin Tucker.

George retired from GuideStone Financial Resources where he was the chief engineer of building maintenance.  He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Avonell Tucker, in 2004; his parents; one sister, Darma Jean Hatfield; and one grandson, Joseph Don Tucker.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, David and Gail Tucker of Wylie, and Don and Donona Tucker of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Pat Tucker of Queen City, Texas; two sisters, Atha Mae Wigington of Spencerville, Oklahoma, and Virginia Radford of New Boston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Michael Tucker and wife Mandy, Jonathan Tucker and wife Amber, Stephanie Johnson and husband Jered, Nathan Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Colton Tucker, and Jaqueline Tucker; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with Dr. Chas Carlisle officiating.  Interment will follow at Creekmore Cemetery in Naples.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, prior to the funeral.
