Geraldine "Gerry" Kirk, age 90, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Omaha, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2015. Gerry was born on January 26, 1924, in Huntsville, Texas, to Gerald Wagnon and Marguerite Oliphant Wagnon.

Gerry graduated Sam Houston State University with her Masters degree in education. She taught at many schools before retiring from Paul Pewitt School District. She was a member at the First United Methodist Church in Omaha, and the Retired Teachers Association.

Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Louis John Kirk, Jr. in 2007; her parents; one brother, Benton Wagnon; and one granddaughter, Kristen Kirk.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Louis John, III and Eleanor Kirk of Longview, Texas, Steven William and Virginia Kirk of Woodville, Texas, and Laurence Lee and Lenora Sue Kirk of Allen, Texas; two daughters, Janice Ruth and Roger Benest of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Laura Lynn and Steve Partain of Allen; eleven grandchildren, Chris Benest, Casey Baber, Kevin Partain, Kimberly Partain, Jason Kirk, Tiphanie DuBios, Karena Kirk, Jimmy Kirk, Ben Kirk, Will Kirk, and Laura Temming; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Regan Baber, Brody Baber, Zoe Benest, Aidan Benest, Wolf Zidd, Korbin Boyd, Tate Kirk, Taylor Kirk, Ty Kirk, Jay DuBios, Kay DuBios, Oceana Kirk, Brookelyn Kirk, Curtis Kirk, and Emma Kirk; and numerous other relatives.

Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Harrison Funeral Chapel in Naples, Texas. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015, at the funeral home.
