Glenn Nelson Bellamy, age 85, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, formerly of Naples, Texas, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at his home.  Glenn was born January 15, 1939, in Jefferson, Texas, to Edgar and Annie Evans Bellamy.

Glenn was a member of New Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marietta.  He served in the United States Navy for 4 ½ years and then went on to work at Red River Army Depot for 33 years.  Glenn enjoyed fishing, gardening, and brush hogging.  He also enjoyed watching westerns and playing dominoes.  Glenn was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Bellamy of Mt. Vernon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Rick Simon of Plano, Texas, and Deborah and Adam Larson of Mt. Vernon, Texas; two grandsons, Chris Bellamy and Aaron Brooks of Mt. Vernon, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Lorraine Bellamy of Raceland, Louisiana; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Hope Cemetery Association.
