Obituary

Grady Odis Porter, age 92, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his home.  Grady was born October 13, 1927 in Beckville, Texas to Charles Henry Porter and Bonnie Ida Simmons Porter.

Grady retired from Red River Army Depot where he was an engine inspector.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran.  Grady was a member of the VFW Post 1890, the American Legion, and the National Rifle Association.  He enjoyed riding around looking at the countryside and watching wildlife.

Grady was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Porter, in 2010; his parents; several brothers and sisters; and one grandson, Jeff Duncan.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Eric Mullins of Omaha; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Grady Porter of Marietta, Texas, and John and Tracy Porter of Omaha; one stepson, James Portwood of Omaha; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Pat and Ronald Duncan of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one sister, Dean Talkington of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Springhill Cemetery in Naples, Texas with Bro. Tim Gibbs officiating.
