Helen Mae Granberry Bass, age 96, of Simms, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, in Longview, Texas. Helen was born July 29, 1919, in Durant, Oklahoma to James Gannon and Kitty Lewis Gannon.

Helen was a homemaker. She was a member at County Line Holiness Church in DeKalb. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and planting flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Top Granberry and Eugene Bass; her parents; and all her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law. Bo and Nell Granberry of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Dan Pinson of Longview; a special friend, Becky Pierce; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and may other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at County Line Holiness Church in DeKalb, with Bro. Mike Maxon, Jr. and Bro. Samuel Snow officiating. Interment will follow in College Hill Cemetery in DeKalb. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church, prior to the funeral.
