Obituary

Helen Wooten Boozer, age 83, of Naples, Texas, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, at her home. Helen was born May 1, 1932 in Cookville, Texas to Melvin and Virgie Wooten.

Helen retired from Lone Star Steel Company. She was a member at First United Methodist Church in Naples, Texas. She was a member of the Jonquil Garden Club and numerous other clubs over the years. Helen loved reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vanoy Boozer; her parents; and one nephew, Rodney Richey.

Survivors include five nephews, Roger Martin and wife Gwen of Longview, Larry Richey and wife Betty of Omaha, Donald Richey and wife Joyce of Omaha, Tommy Richey and wife Karen of New Boston, and Nolan Richey and wife Patricia of Omaha; four nieces, Ouida Henson and husband John of Joynerville, Janice Richey of Omaha, Sue Gattis of Omaha, and Charmel Richey of Quitman; and numerous other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Naples. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Nolan Richey and Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha.
