Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Amelia Montgomery, age 94, of Omaha, Texas will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2018 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas with Rev. Nolan Richey, Tim Anderson, and Glenn Griffith officiating.
Helen was born April 7, 1924 in Washington, D.C. to Florence Cosmore Rollins Tucker and Christopher C. Tucker. She passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Helen was a retired telephone operator. She did volunteer work at David Granberry Hospital in Naples, and she was a member of the Texas Association of Hospital Auxiliaries. She was also a caregiver for many ladies. She was a member in good standing at Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing at the Senior Citizens Dance in Daingerfield and other local centers. She also loved to play bingo with senior citizens in Mt. Pleasant and Naples.
Preceding her in death were he husband, Robert Clinton Montgomery in 1979; her parents; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William L. Weisbacker and wife Jennifer; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra L. Van Horn and husband Charles "Cliff" Van Horn; three grandchildren, Shawn Avery Weisbacker, Kenneth Van Horn and wife Cathy, and Danny Van Horn and wife Stephanie; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, and Natalie Van Horn.
The family will receive friend from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Choice Care Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.
