Ina Clare Morgan Jordan, 86, of Tyler, Texas passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 after a life well lived.

She was born October 17, 1930 in Naples, Texas, the third daughter of William Horace Morgan and Julia Myrtle Harrison Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Morgan Dixon and Francis Diann Glaze.

She grew up and attended Naples High School graduating in the class of 1948. She attended Baylor University and East Texas State University. She received an undergraduate degree in Business in 1952, and a Master's degree in Education with certifications for classrooms 1-12 and Special Education.

She taught Elementary Special education in Winona, Texas and in the Tyler ISD at Clarkston, Austin, Ramey, Gary and Bonner Elementary schools. Her passion was teaching and her greatest joy was affecting the lives of hundreds of students during 18 years as an educator. She retired in 1982.

She was a member of Texas State Teachers Association, Tooanoowe Sorority, and the Daughters of the Nile. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Tyler.

She is survived by her two daughters Katherine Lynn and her husband Clark Lynn of Tyler, Texas and Cindie Jordan Candelario and her husband Rick Candelario of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren James B. Lynn and his wife Katie Lynn of San Antonio, Texas and Hilary Candelario Nesby and her husband Patrick Nesby of Austin, Texas; and two great-granddaughters Nora Lynn and Mary Brittingham Lynn.

Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill, Texas at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017. Reverend Ethel Marie Channon will be officiating from St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Visitation will precede the funeral at the gravesite.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Texas Hospice of Tyler, Legacy Hospice of Tyler, or the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers include Rick Candelario, Clark Lynn, James Lynn, Patrick Nesby, Stan Glaze and Buddy Tyner.
