Hazel Irene Cook, age 75, of Longview, Texas, formerly of Naples, Texas, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, in Longview, Texas.  Irene was born January 6, 1945 in Linden, Texas to Virgil Lee Morgan and Dorothy Marie Mason.

Irene was a member at New Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marietta.  She was devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.  Irene enjoyed painting, fishing, and working in her yard.  She was the Kansas City Chief's Patrick Mahone's #1 fan.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Cook; her parents; one brother, Gerald Morgan; two sisters, Virgilene Jolly and Sherry Mathis; one grandson, Reno Packard; and a special friend, George Tucker.

Survivors include one son, Allan Cook of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Tammy Lee Simmons of Marshall, Texas and Shane Marie Clark of Tyler, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Mollie Melba and Jack Fritts of Cleburne, Texas; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; special friend, Anne Berry; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery in Marietta.
