Irene Marlissa Howell, age 81, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Irene was born December 23, 1941 in Burgbernheim, Germany, to Johann S. Stark and Frieda Ricka F. Dietrich Stark.

Irene was a homemaker and a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha. She enjoyed drinking coffee with her church ladies, helping others, and gardening. She also enjoyed listening to music, nature, and always loved to laugh.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Howell; her parents; and four sisters, Erika, Efrieda, Lora, and Gertrude.

Survivors include her son, Michael Rawls of Omaha; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Concord Cemetery in Omaha, Texas, with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Missionary Baptist Church, Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
