James Michael Barron, age 65, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. James was born July 22, 1952 in Naples, Texas to Merida Lanom Barron and Lahoma Cowan Barron.

James was a member at Rocky Point Congregational Methodist Church in Naples. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, where he served as a sergeant. James was a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, and racing cars.

James was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Inman; and one nephew, Tony Inman.

Surviving family members include his wife of 41 years, Brenda Barron of Naples; one son, Brandon Barron of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Sharon Barron of DeKalb, Texas, and Marty and Nancy Barron of Redwater, Texas; three grandchildren, Caleb Barron, Andrew Barron, and Kristopher Barron; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Cason, Texas with Bro. Scott Darby officiating.
