Obituary

James Samuel Caldo, age 78, of Naples, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 in his home. James was born April 22, 1944, in Paterson, New Jersey, to Anthony Carmen Caldo and Mary Agnes Seergy Caldo.

James was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community in Plano, Texas. James was a United States Air Force veteran. After his time in the military, he went on to work and retire as a commercial insurance claims adjuster. He enjoyed coaching kids' sports and leading teams to win title championships in football, baseball, and basketball. He loved all areas in nature, from going into the Rocky Mountains and cycling for miles to wading into the ocean. Even though he knew what the outcome would be, he always cheered for his Notre Dame Fighting Irish. His greatest passion though, was his family, especially his grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Matthew Caldo.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Shari Caldo of Naples; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Brian Brady of Sachse, Texas, Kristy Caldo of Palouse, Washington, and Emily and Alex Staggs of Little Elm, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Rebecca Harrison of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Robert Caldo of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, and John Caldo of Tucson, Arizona; seven grandchildren, P.J. Brady, Payton Brady, Kenneth Harrison, Julijana Harrison, Elana Staggs, Henry Staggs, and Miles Staggs; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
