James Franklin Fields, age 74, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. James was born January 13, 1946 in Fritch, Texas to Derwood Leon Fields and Birtie Lee Long Fields.

James retired from the Titus County Sheriff's Office.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  James enjoyed doing carpentry work, racing cars, fishing, and spending time with his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jimmy Fields; and one grandson, Charles Fields.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Fields of Omaha; one daughter, Ginger Hill of Somerville, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Dennis Duesterhaus of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Silver Hill, Tommy Fields, Cody Hill, Myranda Fields, and Paris Fields; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
