James Ray "Jim" Sims, age 87, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Omaha. Jim was born April 26, 1935, in Eddie, Texas, to John Edgar Sims and Nora Viola Martin Sims.

Jim retired from General Motors Company. His hobbies included fishing and going dancing. He spent his life making sure his family was taken care of.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Pat Sims; two sons, Steve Sims and Jason Sims; eight sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and Lynn Jinks of Omaha; one brother, Roy Sims of Arlington, Texas; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Justin and Shannon Jinks of Omaha; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jamie and Chris Cobb of Naples; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Jinks, Calan Cobb, and Addi Cobb; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.
