Jeanette Smith, 79, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in Hughes Springs, Texas. Jeanette was Born October 17, 1935, in Dallas, Texas.

Jeanette was retired from the meat processing industry. She was a member at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. "Cowboy" Smith in 1974; parents, Charley Harvey and Allie Cook; one son, Jimmy W. Smith; one stepson, Bobby L. "Butch Smith, Jr.; one brother, Charles Dodson, and one daughter-in-law; Gail Smith.

Surviving family members include one son, Johnny Smith of Daingerfield, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Jacki and Gene Brown of Naples, Texas; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Gaylon and Deb Smith of Daingerfield, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sue Harvey of Naples, Texas; two grandchildren, Michael Brown and wife Jessica and Crystal Taylor and husband Lance; three great-grandchildren, Augustus Brown, Shyanne Smith, and Cash Taylor; and numerous other relatives.

Graceside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas with Dr. Michael Amerson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Omaha Cares, P.O. Box 932, Omaha, TX 75571.
