Jerry Doyle Morris, age 84, of Naples, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Jerry was born June 13, 1937, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Jimmy Doyle Morris and Bess Roberts Henley.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy and spent most of his life as an educator. He attended First United Methodist Church of Naples and was a key part of the Men's Prayer Breakfast. Jerry was a man of knowledge and enjoyed reading and researching everything that he could. He enjoyed his family and cooking.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Frankie Lee Morris.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patsy Morris of Naples; three sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Sherrie Self of Hawthorne, Nevada, Cliff and Cynthia Self of Odessa, Texas, and Casey and Barbara Morris of Bulverde, Texas; one daughter Carlyn Morris of Dowagiac, Michigan; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Helen Morris of Odessa; seven grandchildren, Sheldon Self and his wife Bailee Self, Spencer Self and his wife Morgan Self, Chandler Self, Skyler Self, Conner Self, Kelsey Morris and Dane Morris; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
