Jimmie Dale "Jim" Clifton, age 90, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Longview, Texas.  Jim was born May 17, 1929, in Snyder, Texas, to John Clifton and Anna Belle LaRue Clifton.

Jim was a member the First United Methodist Church in Lone Star, Texas.   He owned and operated his truck and ran a route selling tools for the Cornwell Tool Company prior to retirement.  Jim was a United States Navy Veteran.  He was a member and past Master of the Iron Bluff Masonic Lodge #1376, a member of the Shriners and the Scottish Rite, and a member and past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Omaha Chapter #977.  Jim enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Byron Clifton, Adrian Clifton, and Billie George Clifton; and three sisters, Lind Buchanan, Virgie Bridges, and Martha June Wilkins.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ann Clifton of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Cathy Clifton of Clarksville, Tennessee; one sister, Jeane Callan of Hughes Springs, Texas; one grandson, Cameron Clifton of Clarksville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Scottish Rite Hospital.
