Jo Margaret Smith, age 88, left her earthly home June 9, 2020 to be with our Lord and many loved ones.

Jo was born in Cass county on August 19, 1931 to T.B. and Clara Todd.  She graduated from Linden High School in the class of "'49ers." She loved her church family and loved to teach Sunday School when she was still able to. She had many occupations which included working as a nurse, owner of the Cypress Valley Marina in Karnack, operator of "This & That" antique store in Jefferson, and of course house wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her hobbies included crocheting and working in the yard.  She started and ended her life in Cass county, but she lived in many different places. One of those places was Las Palmas, Canary Islands.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and one brother; her husband, Raymond E. Smith; two sons, Johnny and Jimmy; one great-grandson, T.J.; and a very dear and special companion; Harold W. Clark.

Her family, who will miss her the most, are her daughter, Gayle and husband J.C. Hall of Naples; granddaughter, Tiffany Williams of Springdale, Louisiana and her children, Tyler Claunch and fiancé Courtney, and Katelyn Claunch and her son James;  granddaughter Brandy Foshee of Marshall and her children, Kourtni Phillips and husband Dominick, Bryce Davis and wife Cassidy and their son Parker; granddaughter Candy Mathis of Longview and her son Skyler and his son Koda; her brother, Lloyd Todd and wife Charlene from Belle Chasse, Louisiana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Shiloh Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha, Texas.
