Joe Mike Cason, age 65, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. Joe Mike was born November 25, 1952 in Pittsburg, Texas to Charles Robert "Toby" Cason and Claudia Wilma Vaughn Cason.

Joe Mike was a member at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha. He retired from the Alaska Pipeline where he worked as a pipe fitter. Joe Mike was a member of the David Elliott Masonic Lodge in Omaha. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. Joe Mike was a jokester and loved playing pranks on people.

Joe Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Sandi Cason earlier this year; his parents; and one brother, Anthony Cason.

Surviving family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Toby Joe and Karlie Cason of Flint, Texas, Grant Cason of Commerce, Texas, and Jeff and Erin Carmody of Ft. Worth, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Echo and Kelly Don Johnson of Omaha, and Hayley Carmody of Ft. Worth; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Deb Cason of Omaha, and Bobby "Red" and Becky Cason of Las Vegas, Nevada; three aunts, Dean Knight of Jenkins, Texas, Annetta Vaughn of Jenkins, and Betty Smith and husband Don of Daingerfield, Texas; two grandchildren, Noah Carmody and Rachel Carmody; special friend, Jennifer Beason, his home-health nurse; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Nolan Richey and Kelly Don Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church, prior to funeral services.
