Joe Earl Tucker, age 83, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in Texarkana, Texas. Earl was born April 17, 1933 in Bryans Mill, Texas to Joe Will Tucker and Thelma Gladine Hicks Tucker.

Earl was a member at First Baptist Church in Douglassville. He worked several years for the Texas Forestry Service before going to work in the timber industry. Earl enjoyed gardening, fishing, and squirrel hunting. He loved being outdoors.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving family members include his wife of 55 years, Thelma Tucker of Naples; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sherry and Joe Liles of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Shannon Jenkins of Omaha; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Tommy and Peggy Tucker of Omaha, Texas, Billy Tucker of Naples, Freddy and Karen Tucker of Judson, Texas, and Bobby and Linda Tucker of Longview; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bill Rice of Naples, and Betty Tucker of Naples; three grandchildren, Amber Jenkins, Colton Jenkins, and Jolee Liles; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Creekmore Cemetery in Naples.
