Joretta Sue Jones, age 78, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Joretta was born October 29, 1942, in Tahoka, Texas to Clifford Thomas "Shorty" Ingle and Lois Mildred Pollard Ingle.

Joretta was a member of the Church of Christ in Naples, Texas.  She retired from GTE where she worked as a dispatcher.  Joretta loved God and loved her family.  She also loved chocolate.  She enjoyed playing games, whether it was dominoes, card games, or board games.  Joretta loved children and was affectionately known as the "gum lady" at church.

Joretta was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bill Ingle and Gene Ingle.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mac and Debbie Jones of Omaha and Lane and Staci Jones of Omaha; one daughter, Dawn Jones of Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ingle of Loop, Texas and Rebecca Ingle of Tahoka, Texas; nine grandchildren, Larissa Green and husband Jeremy, Ashlee Green and husband Justin, Brittani Griffin and husband Jeremy, Lynsey Hensley and husband Luke, Taylor McWilliams and husband Kyle, Cassidy Newson and husband Stephen, Hillary Watkins and husband Phillip, Shelby Love and husband Matt, and Sydney Thornton; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Church of Christ in Naples, Texas with Phillip Kelley and Steve Curtis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
