Joseph Kory Fondren, age 42, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 in Idabel, Oklahoma. Joseph was born May 17, 1980 in Texarkana, Texas, to Henry Earl Fondren and Lea Ann Hicks Fondren.

Joseph was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and served two tours in Iraq working Crash Fire and Rescue. After honorable discharge from the Marines, Joseph worked at the Red River Army Depot as a firefighter. Joseph rode for the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association. He also volunteered for the Naturalbuildingorg for Veterans in Hughes Springs. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, and cooking. He also enjoyed singing, dancing, watching movies, and listening to music.

Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one step-brother, Todd Marsh.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Fondren of Omaha; his children, Aaron, Annabelle, and James Fondren of Omaha; mother, Lea Ann Fondren and Tonya West of Omaha; father and step-mother, Henry and Anita Fondren of Elkhart, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Holly Fondren of Avinger, Texas and Jason and Anna Matherne of Houma, Louisiana; nieces, Skylar and Brooke; nephew, Canyon; mother-in-law Lenna Jones; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sara and Cole Hervey, Meagan and Harley Bishop, Stephen and Amber Newton, Lillian Newton, and Elizabeth Newton; nieces, Gabby, Aaliyah, Destiney, Adeline, Alanna, and Aliza; special friend, Lauren Pascarella; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples, Texas.
