Joyce Jean Wright, age 86, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Joyce was born July 15, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, to Eugene Ward and Mabel Marie Burton Ward.

Joyce was a member at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha.  She retired from Daingerfield Independent School District.  Joyce loved cooking and shopping.  She enjoyed playing games with her family and entertaining friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wright; and her parents.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kip and Sharon Wright of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Shannon and Carla Wright of Keller, Texas; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Roger and Sue Wright of Longview, Texas and Marilyn Wright of Cookville, Texas; four grandchildren, Ben Wright, Will Wright, Shelby Wright, and Brooke Wright; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.
