Jeffery Paul "J.P." Cobb, age 60, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, in Longview, Texas.  J.P. was born July 7, 1962, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to James Windell Cobb and Patsy Ann Tefteller Cobb.

J.P. was a former County Commissioner for Morris County, past president of the Naples Boots and Saddle Club, very active with the Naples Watermelon Festival, and a member of the Naples Volunteer Fire Department.  J.P. loved playing with kids.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his cows and goats.

J.P. was preceded in death by his father, Windell Cobb.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Cobb of Naples; mother, Patsy Cobb of Naples; three sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and Jordan Cobb of Naples, Jeremy and Holly Mitchell of Naples, and Shawn and Jackie Mitchell of Fate, Texas; one daughter, Brittany Mitchell of Naples; one brother, Wade Cobb of Naples; thirteen grandchildren, Carlee Cobb, Kason Cobb, Braylee Cobb, Brynlee Cobb, Addyson Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, Chloe Mitchell, Eryn Mitchell, Elliott Mitchell, Mila Mitchell, Evelyn Mitchell, Ava Collins, and Camilla Collins; two nephews, Tyler Cobb and Tanner Cobb; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
