Karen Elizabeth Wommack, age 55, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 in Naples. Karen was born May 31, 1968, in Dallas, Texas, to Frank McMurtry Matthews and Virgie Lee Booth Matthews.

Karen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs, Texas. She was a caregiver to many. Karen enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, rescuing pets, and spending time with family.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wommack; and her father, Frank Matthews.

Survivors include her mother, Virgie Matthews of Hughes Springs; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jaimie and Jason Reid of Hughes Springs and Leesa Johnson of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Mahina Wommack of Seneca, Missouri; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Larry Matthews of Kingwood, Texas and David and Sherry Matthews of Gulfport, Mississippi; eight grandchildren, Eli Wommack, Danny Wommack, Baylee Johnson, Chandler Johnson, Janie Reid, Justice Reid, Jace Reid, and Julee Reid; three great-grandchildren, Bailey Wommack, Emma Wommack, and Memphis Wommack; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta, Texas with Rev. Chad Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.
