Kathryn Jewel Capps, age 82, of Marietta, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home. Kathryn was born October 24, 1934 in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Kathryn was a homemaker. She was a member at Calvary Tabernacle in Queen City. She enjoyed crocheting, playing dominoes, and gardening. She loved people.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Hazel and J.S. McCasland.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Capps of Marietta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Vickie Stallings of Mission, Texas, and David and Erica Stallings of Grapevine, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Arnie Rushing of West Point, Arkansas; two stepsons and one step-daughter-in-law, Dwight and Dottie Capps of Queen City, Texas, and Jonathan Capps of Lone Star, Texas; one sister, Maggie Revalee of Atlanta, Texas; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at New Hope Cemetery in Marietta with Bro. Billy Wayne Dupree and Bro. John Taylor officiating.
