Kathleen "Kay" Margaret Ferguson Holloway, age 77, of Pittsburg, Texas, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Ms. Kay was born September 7, 1945, in Miami Beach, Florida to Raymond John and Eloise Martel Williams O'Connor.
Ms. Kay was baptized according to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church at the Base Chapel Miami Army Air Field. She attended school at Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas where she earned her bachelor's degree. She treasured the time she spent raising her children. Ms. Kay established her career in selling health insurance at Kennedy, Ferguson Benefits, LLC in Colorado, until she retired in 2010. After retirement, she took pleasure in making the move to Texas with her husband. She was delighted when her mother decided to make the move to be with her. Ms. Kay took pride in being intentional in the relationships she built. Even though she is no longer here with us, her spirit is all around us through the lives she touched in her time on this earth. May we never forget how blessed we are to have the memories we made with Ms. Kay.
Ms. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Milton P. and Margaret J. O'Connor, James Corbutt and Alma M. Chauncey Williams; late husband, David C. Ferguson.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie K Holloway of Pittsburg, Texas; two brothers, Michael C. O' Connor of Nebraska, Thomas M. O'Connor of Washington; two children, Scott Ferguson and wife, Lauren of Denver, Colorado, Kelly Kohrs of Hughes Springs, Texas, she loved them dearly and was so grateful to have them in her life; four grandchildren, Kali Ann Sharp and Lincoln McManamon, Seth and Summer Kohrs; three great-grandchildren, Soren and (soon to be born) Aksel Hilleary, Riley Scott; Ms. Kay was a wonderful step-mother and was loved dearly by her three step-children, Monty Holloway of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Cody Holloway and wife, Kaylee of Cason, Texas, Tandi Zavala of Omaha, Texas; thirteen step-grandchildren, Trenton(wife, Cienna), Pierson and Sydney Holloway, Dylan, Hagen, Hatley and Adaley Kate Holloway, Gabriella, Jovani, Olivia, Jet, Cruz and Dakota Zavala; one step-great grandchild, Scarlett Holloway; numerous other relatives and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas. Memorial service will be mid-September in Pittsburg, Texas for family only. Interment will be held at a later date in Fremont, Nebraska.
