Noel Keith Higgins, age 88, of Naples, Texas, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home. Keith was born October 1, 1930 in Rocky Point, Texas to Howard Clifton Higgins and Myrthel Grady McMichael Higgins Lowery.

Keith attended Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He retired, after 30 years, from Lone Star Steel. He was a member of the American Legion. Keith enjoyed restoring his 1958 Chevrolet truck. He spent many hours volunteering in the community.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife Marlene Higgins; his parents; two sisters, Geneva Dale and Sue Heard.

Surviving family members include one son and daughter-in-law, Dwaine and Barbara Higgins of Omaha, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Brad Stovall of Hallsville, Texas and Dana and Marty Shankle of Gilmer, Texas; seven grandchildren, Steven and Tiffany Stovall, Misty and Doug Clay, Angie Stovall, Mandy and Stephen Alexander, Christy and Cliff Carpenter, Caleb and Katie Higgins, and Jessie Cavel; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Gerald King; one sister-in-law and husband, Deen Horton and David; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Bar Nun Cowboy Church with Bro. Dwaine Higgins and Caleb Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at Wilder Cemetery in Naples.
