Mahan Kenneth McCord, age 85, of Marietta, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas.  Kenneth was born October 17, 1934 in Marietta, Texas to Ernest Lee "Guy" McCord and Edna Nora Hancock McCord.

Kenneth was a member at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta.  He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he was a maintenance supervisor.  Kenneth was also a lifelong rancher.  He was a member of the Marietta Masonic Lodge #1181, former member of the Marietta City Council, and a member of the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and visiting with people.

Kenneth was preceded by his wife, Betty McCord, in March of 2020; his parents; and five brothers, Roy McCord, Lowell McCord, Travis McCord, Ernest McCord, and Don McCord.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kirby and Dena McCord of Atlanta, Texas; one brother, Gaynor McCord of Quitman, Texas; two grandsons, Garrison McCord and Cooper McCord; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The body will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta with Dr. Chas Carlisle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association or Oak Ridge Baptist Church
