Steven Lance Hampton, age 49, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Longview, Texas. Lance was born January 12, 1974, in Naples, Texas, to Auvis Wayne Hampton and Lola Jean Vaught Hampton.

Lance attended Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas. He worked for Airgas as a salesman and driver. Lance enjoyed camping with his kids, fishing, and spending time with family.

Lance was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Hampton; and one daughter, Kara Sass.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Hampton of Omaha, Texas; his father, Auvis Hampton of Omaha; two daughters, Emily Hampton and Audrey Hampton of Omaha; one brother and sister-in-law, Landon and Sherrie Hampton of Mount Pleasant, Texas; one brother-in-law, Kevin Chumbley of Longview, Texas; one sister-in-law, Sherri Chumbley of Scroggins, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Dr. Ken Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha, Texas.
