Leota Ann McDonald Motley, age 76, of Omaha, Texas, passed away October 2, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Leota was born August 2, 1950, in Greenville, Texas, to Leon McDonald and Ella Lou Williams McDonald.
Lee Ann was a past member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid artist with a start in drafting to later works in floral design with hobbies including crocheting, baking, sewing, and decorating for the holidays. Lee Ann was a life-long Dallas Cowboy fan, and she loved tending to her many animals. Most of all, she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. Leota will be remembered for her gentle and kind soul.
Lee Ann was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Amy Jeanette Denmon; one sister, Francy Young; and one brother, Benny Wayne McDonald.
Survivors include her husband, Wiley Motley of Omaha; two daughters and one son-in-law, Christy and Shannon Purdon of Naples, Texas, and BJ Wagner of College Station, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Donavan and Angie Denmon of Naples; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Evon McDonald of Omaha; two sisters, Peggy Tucker of Waterloo, Alabama, and Tonya Tyner and spouse Patrice of Karnack, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, Sabrina Fouse, Cody Brown, Alex Allen, Jimmy Purdon II, Christopher Purdon, Zakary Purdon, Jake Purdon, Ty Wagner, Tad Wagner, Shelby Feltner, Kasey Wagner, Pepper Wagner, Dillon Denmon, Samantha Smith, Maggie Wallace, and Ryleigh Denmon; eight great-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2026, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Omaha, Texas, with Bro. Mike Amerson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to SAFE-T Crisis Center in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
