A memorial service for Lenora Abston, 79, of Omaha, Texas will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, @ 11:00 a.m. at Concord Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Nolan Richey officiating.

Lenora was born in Bryans Mill, Texas on August 26, 1936, to Homer D Abston and Bammer Holland Abston. She died at her home on March 9, 2016 after battling cancer.

Lenora retired from Lamar Consolidated ISD in Rosenberg after 31 years of teaching, coaching and administration. She was a full-time RVer for 13 years, making all 50 states and 7 Canadian provinces.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Gerald and Wendell Abston; one sister, Juanita Merchant; one niece, Jeanette Harrison; one nephew, Randy Hughes; and two great-nephews, John and Joey Hughes.

Survivors include the families of Bobby Abston, Ronnie Abston, Theta Jo Hicks, Butch Abston, Danny Abston, Cindy Tucker, Tracy Harrison Guidroz, Johnny Harrison, the members of the Holland family, and many friends locally as well as RVing friends nationwide.
