Lester G. Laywell, age 61, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Tyler, Texas. Lester was born July 20, 1956 to James W. and Joyce J. Laywell.

Lester loved to have a good time. He enjoyed playing volleyball in his younger years, and even coached several volleyball teams later on. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and following politics. Some of Lester's best times were when he was at the Orange Blossom Special in Mt. Pleasant.

Lester was preceded in death by his father, James W. Laywell; and one sister, Cathy F. Laywell.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Laywell of Omaha; a special cousin, Rhonda Bozman; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill, Texas.
