Lindle Odis Waits, age 83, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Lindle was born May 3, 1941, in Trenton, Texas, to Lee Odis Waits and Florence Lenora Jamison Waits.
Lindle was a member of First Baptist Church in Omaha. He retired after 52 years of barbering, where he watched boys become men and men become fathers. He and his wife Angel owned and operated Waits' Hair Kare. Lindle was a member of the Thursday Night Travelers and the Catfish-Crappie Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to family reunions and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed driving around and seeing the countryside and watching Pewitt Brahma Football.
Lindle was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J.L. Waits and Robert L. Waits; one sister, Elsie Vickers; and one nephew, Robert Wayne Waits.
Survivors include his wife, Angel Waits of Omaha; five sons, Paul Waits of Crocker, Missouri, Rickey Waits of Queen City, Texas, Mickey Waits of Texarkana, Texas, Norman Harwood of Montrose, Colorado, and Brandon Waits of Frisco, Texas; two daughters, Brandi Fortner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Lisa Harwood of Omaha, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, Amy, Dustin, Kaci, Elizabeth, Caitlyn, Brieana, Connor, Landon, Makayla, Carrson, Poppy, Charley, Dayren, Kellan, and Brandon; eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Cameron, Carson, Gus, Briar, Harper, Hunter, and Haylen; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Keith Lauter officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.
