Amanda "Mandy" Elizabeth Kitchens, age 51, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of Naples, Texas, died peacefully Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Mandy was born in Texarkana, Texas on August 24, 1973.
Mandy graduated from Paul Pewitt High School and was a proud supporter of the Brahmas. She was also actively involved in Special Olympics during her school career. Mandy had several interests but what she loved the most was her family, friends, and a party of any kind, especially birthday parties. She was a deeply committed member of the First United Methodist Church of Naples and later the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock. Throughout her life Mandy lived each day to the fullest and could always bring a smile to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard "Sonny" Kitchens and Melva Kitchens.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Kasi and Chris Boutwell of Lubbock; two nephews, Jon Weston Boutwell and Harry Boutwell of Lubbock; one aunt, Rita Woodworth of Virginia; and numerous cousins.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at East Texas Clinic in Naples for the care they gave Mandy throughout her life. The family would also like to thank the staff at Wilshire Place and the nurses at Grayce Enhanced Hospice Care for their support, care, and compassion for Mandy.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at First United Methodist Church, Naples, Texas with Dr. Todd Salzwedel officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Naples. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ministries of the First United Methodist Church of Naples, 201 Cedar Ave., Naples, TX 75568 or the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock, 1411 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401.
