Margaret Ann Cato, age 77, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 in Mount Pleasant, Texas.  Margaret was born November 3, 1945 in Daingerfield.

Margaret was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hughes Springs, Texas.  She worked for many years as a caregiver.  Margaret enjoyed playing bingo and bunco and going out to eat.  She also enjoyed looking at Christmas lights.  Margaret loved visiting with her family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Davis; her husband, Jerrel D. Cato; one brother, Robert Davis; and two grandchildren, Rocky James Harper and Shonna Harkrider.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerrel and Stephanie Cato of Naples, Texas; one daughter, Donna Matthews of Daingerfield; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Margie and John Forrest of Daingerfield and Doris Davis of Daingerfield; one brother, Norris Davis of Dallas; five grandchildren, Miranda Tidwell and husband Billy, Jeff Matthews, Michelle Derrick and husband Jason, Donnie Shawn Harkrider and wife Felicia, and Christopher Cato; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with Rev. Matt Prihoda officiating.  Interment will follow at Dalton Cemetery in Naples.
