Martha Dell Brock McCoy, age 92, of Bryans Mill, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her home. Martha Dell was born in Bryans Mill on April 24, 1923, to S.J. and Ann Brock.

Martha Dell was a homemaker. She was a member at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Cass County Genealogical Society, the unofficial historian of Bryans Mill, Texas, and on the board of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association. She enjoyed reading and she kept a life's journal that she wrote in every day.

Martha Dell was preceded in death by her husband, O.L. McCoy, in 2006, and her parents.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Jan McCoy of Daingerfield, and Jack and Deborah McCoy of Douglassville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Bonnie McCoy of Bryans Mill, Annette McCoy of Bryans Mill, and Marla and Wayne Ray of Linden; five grandchildren, Bret McCoy and wife Elizabeth, Mark McCoy and wife Amanda, Lindsey Spivey and husband Jacob, Britney McCoy, and Melissa Alexander and husband Robert; two step-grandchildren, Claudia Hilton and Carol Ray; eight great-grandchildren, Shea Alexander, Makenzie Alexander, Hudson Alexander, Emma McCoy, Halle McCoy, Evie McCoy, Maranda McCoy, and Julianne McCoy; and numerous other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. James Cheatham and Rev. Bobby Horn officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Cass County Genealogical Society, Union Chapel United Methodist Church, or the Bryans Mill Volunteer Fire Department.
