Mary Lou Hicks, age 62, of Naples, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at her home. Mary Lou was born December 23, 1960 in Dallas, Texas, to Donald Lee Harkness, Sr. and Mary Catherine Carmack.

Mary Lou was a member of Piney Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She was a homemaker. Mary Lou enjoyed company, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, and cooking. She also enjoyed canning, painting, drawing, and spending time with her family.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; and one half-brother, Donald Lee Harkness, Jr.; one son-in-law, Casey Brooks; and one niece, Amanda Harkness.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis Hicks of Naples, Texas; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kerry Hicks of Longview, Texas, Amy and Paul Stephens of Daingerfield, Texas, Annie and Jeffie Bowen of Bells, Texas, and Tami Joe Diggs and Cody Razzi of Naples; one brother, Donald Ray Harkness, Sr. of Naples; three grandchildren, Katie and Christian Barrett, Billy Fields, Jr., Easton Stephens; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with pastor CJ Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at Creekmore Cemetery in Naples.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Omaha Cares and Creekmore Cemetery Fund.
