Mary Janet Wakefield was born to Clarence T. Wakefield and Hazel Forsythe Wakefield on September 25, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas. She passed on September 13, 2025 in Titus County.

Mary Janet was a member of Naples Church of Christ. She enjoyed helping our community by delivering medication to those in need. She originally started this job for McKellar's Medicine Chest, then later for Thurman Drugs.

Mary Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Hazel Wakefield; both of her children Whitney Fawn Wilhite and Jeffery Scott Wilhite.

She is survived by two grandsons, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Scott Wilhite and Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Blake Wilhite; great-grandson, Jeffery Laramie Wilhite; along with many cousins within the community.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
