Anna Meryle Charlton Eaves, age 98, of Omaha, Texas, passed away April 12, 2023, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Meryle was born November 11, 1924, in Omaha, to William Bennie Charlton and Mary Elizabeth Tucker Charlton.

Meryle attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Omaha.   She graduated Omaha High School and then attended beautician school.  She was a beautician for 57 years in total.  She also worked at Brown's Plant Farm in Omaha through three generations of Browns, totaling 52 years.  These generations include Bart (B.B.) Brown, Jim Brown, and Gregg Brown.  Meryle loved to fish, dance, play 42, pull pranks, joke and cut up.  She also loved spending time with her family and friends, and she will be remembered for her charismatic personality and her contagious laughter.

Meryle was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Billy Craig; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Eaves; her siblings, Georgie Hammonds, Floyd Charlton, and Mary Lee Hachmeister; and one grandson, Chris Craig.

Survivors include her son, Steve Eaves of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren, Stephanie Robertson and husband Teddy, Chet Craig and wife Amy, and Teresa Craig; great-grandchildren, Christopher Craig, Cody Craig, Heather Robertson-Bullard, Brianna Craig, and Kayla Craig; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with Dr. Mike Amerson and Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
