Mildred Marie Lewis, age 91, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Mildred was born on February 15, 1932, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Luther Ray Hartley and Alice Irene Owens Hartley.

Mildred was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha. She was the treasurer for the Omaha Order of the Eastern Star. Mildred also was a part of the Concord Book Club. She loved working in her flower garden and loved animals. Mildred also loved reading books and sewing.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Suzann Versteeg; one brother, Harland Hartley.

Survivors include one son, Martin Lewis and wife Bobbie of Omaha; one sister, Susie Scheffler and husband Bob of Houston, Texas; one son-in-law, Pat Versteeg of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jamie Bohanan, Patrick Versteeg and wife Brandi, and Jason Rosewell; five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Stufflebean- Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Whitevead Cemetery in Pauls Valley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.
