Nancy Louise Goforth, age 77, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Nancy was born July 12, 1947 in Tyler, Texas.

Nancy retired from the petroleum industry where she worked as a land man.  She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was the 1976 Queen of Overton, Texas.  Nancy enjoyed watching TV sermons.  In her younger years, she enjoyed crocheting, making pottery and ceramics and flower gardening.  Nancy loved her dogs.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother and dad, Margie and W.A. "Sonny" Giles, Jr.; her father, Harry Rice; and one sister, Becky Yosenick.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy Goforth of Naples, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Rusty Anderson of Cookville, Texas; one brother, Rick Giles of Carrollton, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Jerry Knighten of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one half-sister, Cindy Kuhn; two half brothers, Charles Rice and Ronnie Rice; one stepbrother and stepsister-in-law, David and Cathy Giles; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Darlene Matthews officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
