Nancy Jo Hampton Nance, age 84, of Naples, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Nancy was born August 29, 1938, in Marietta, Texas, to Horace Hampton and Effie Crocker Hampton.

Nancy was a member of Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples.  She retired from Lone Star Steel where she worked in the environmental department.  Nancy enjoyed gardening, sewing, decorating, and shopping.  She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, and watching her soap operas.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Don Nance; her parents; and one son, Mark Nance.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Nance of Naples; two grandchildren, Ryan Gildon and Jonathan Gildon and wife Jennifer; one great-grandchild, Indigo Gildon; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.  Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta.
